When a patient meets Medicare guidelines, services are 100% reimbursed. To meet these guidelines, the patient must:
- Need intermittent skilled nursing or therapy.
- Have home health care ordered by the physician.
- Be homebound as defined by Medicare — Hospitalization is not a requirement for home health care services.
